Pooh Bears Hunny Stop was founded in 1997. Sitting in the privacy of my home having to make the decision whether to leave my career of nursing and keep my own children or battle the obstacle of finding dependable, responsible childcare…
I chose not only to become a stay-at-home mom, I chose to become a family home care provider. I designated one bedroom, then two bedrooms, dining room, living room, before you knew it, I designated the complete first floor of my house. My children thought it was the coolest to have preschool in their home.
PBHS was born! I became a mom helping the moms of my neighborhood and community. I gave them the opportunity to work without worry. The children were taking care of developmentally, physically, mentally and emotionally.
